Lowe's is in Valdosta, HD is in Lake Park. Where are you? I'm in Jackson, Ga. at the flying hook. I have the same problem as you. Can't carry anything real heavy. And the usual loads for this area aren't showing up. This sucks!!!

 

Everyone from the south and half the people from the north want to hang out in the nicer weather. Too much competition in that area now

 

It's this way every winter. Yankees head south to better weather.

 

And Northen truck stops are normally full of southern drivers.

Tell me about it!! I'm down in Tifton right now. I come down here a lot, was down here a few weeks ago with no problems. I guess it's cause it's the weekend and not much new is showing up. It's usually no problem to get out of here during the week - Frito in Kathleen, Kohls in Macon, I believe there's a TSC in Macon as well that ships to Hagerstown MD. The Kathleen loads are on the board way in advance so you have to plan ahead for those. Kohls tend to go up the day/night before but I don't think they put up new stuff on the weekends. Same with TSC. Hell I'd even go up to McDonough to the GP there if there was a load out. I was hoping to maybe snag something out of P&G in Albany but man nothing out of there either!!

It's mainly my fault though, I screwed up not getting that first Kohls load out of Macon, although honestly I'm glad I'm not going up to Winchester looking at the forecast. The load to Valdosta though was a big screw up on my part, was almost 2.00/mi including the deadhead and I just sat and thought about it for too long and someone else grabbed it (that was already sitting in Valdosta LOL).

Time to start another night at the truck stop I guess.... better shut down my APU and check the oil it's been running non stop since Friday morning hahahaha

If there's still nothing out of here by Monday morning I'm just gonna drop my empty back where I delivered and bobtail north.

 

DESPERATION STRIKES!! I book the 2-stopper dual live unload promo delivering vampire hours at box stores in SC!! Actually... this will probably be kind fun. Different from the usual and running my usual hours shouldn't be bad at all. Then I'll head up to the Charlotte OC.
