He got Sylvania blubs at Wal-Mart.. not HIDs. Wal-Mart doesn't sell HID conversion kits. If he got HIDs he'd have to do a conversion kid including installing ballasts. Swapping out for a projector headlight unit and doing a good adjustment is always the best bet. We truck drivers do need to see good a night.
In my own little overburdened heart, I know this to be true. Just would like a single week with no serious issues. Or a lottery win.
I was like that a couple of weeks ago. I only grossed 3200 for the week. I took a 34hr restart in ATL to regroup. That was one my worst week on choice. The freight was their, I chose not to run in the snow. I was out of my comfort zone running down south.
Where your the driver I talked to in MS at OXO distribution. If so don't feel too bad I was there over 14 hours and after being up the whole time I then had to leave to go find a safe place to park which of course started my 14 to say the least it was a cluster uck that I won't go back to.
Was gonna leave today, but apparently weather decided otherwise overnight and now have about 2"-3" of snow and ice packed roads and a 150 mile bobtail to my pickup - NOPE. Then was gonna have it pushed out , but tomorrow night we're supposed to get anywhere from 3"-6" - NOPE. Try again Thursday or Friday? LOL
no skill at all. I drove from Lexington back to obetz last week in a storm loaded on way down , MT back. Return was 5 1/2 hours. earned my check that day. stayed upright and in what I believe was the right hand lane.
Yeah the snow kind of snuck up on us... Woke up just morning to take the trash out and bam snow everywhere. I'm waiting on exhaust parts from international in Greensboro. They suppose to be there in the morning. I'm going to replace the whole exhaust from the muffler to the engine. I just replace the stack a couple of weeks ago and the muffler is 2 yrs old. So, the whole exhaust should be new, when it gets done. $1100 ouch!! Should be on the road Friday. I wasn't running hard anyway due to the weather. Exhaust broke in ATL so I deadhead home from there. They couldn't get the parts in ATL till today so I decided to bounce home.
