Someone please explain y every weekend for the past 2 months I am told "freight is slow". For the weekend yet we hire 30 ppl a week. I don't get it.. I just took a load running 234 miles MT to gary to relay a load from there to beloit,wi which is only 130 miles.. so I can b in a better area to get a load home.. I think it is or is close to the longest I have ran MT.. pretty close to the longest..

This has been the standard excuse for the entire time I have worked for Roehl. Freight is either slow or slow where I am. The last time I told them if freight is slow where I am, then let's move. The reply was that freight is slow everywhere. My comment is that there is more freight than trucks to move it, so why isn't Roehl getting their share of it?

I just read an article about how to choose a company to lease to. One of the things to look at are the customers. If a company has a lot of difficult customers, chances are the trucking company has issues. I have a personal belief that you are what you are. I have a hard time believing Roehl is difficult to deal with as a shop, driver or doctor; yet they are easy to deal with as a customer.

Defently their copout excuse. Yet when we give excusing like that for being late they don't work. We will still get a service failure. Maybe if we start treating them in that manner for that crap and when we r told "you should of planned ur day better" gonna start telling them the same. " should of been looking more for something for me" lol.. bet that would fly huh haha. Yea right. Its always a one way street out here.
