What truck do you have that has payments of only about $600.00 a month? Looking at your fuel cost if you raised your mpg to 6.5 from 5.5 you would add at least $300-$400 a week to your bottom line. I drive 62 and my weekly mileage average isn't that much below yours. In the end it really illustrates how much fuel and truck payment effect the bottom line. Just some observations I see looking at your numbers.

I thought my truck had a lower payment...but 266 week kills mine by almost 200

this is my truck, I believe it is what you guys would call worn out and ready for the auction, just turned 860,000 in fact another 4,000 i will have been driving this for 750,000 myself ( It was my company truck for 5 years) My truck payment is only 192.62 a week on a 2 year note. I have 3 months left.

I know bumping up my mpgs would save me money but I have no intrest in slowing down ( remember fuel is a tax deduction and lord knows I need more of those)

I wouldnt consider myself to be an average o/o. if the truck needs it, it gets it and I do most of the work and I dont care in the slightest about mpg's, never have even as a co driver, i don"t micro manage if its a slow week/month who cares.

I make enough to pay for the truck and have home money so lifes good. I'm sure my wife could give me several others things to stress over!!!!!

micheal said that $266 a week is all inclusive of his fixed cost. When you deduct the hvut, insurance, qcomm you are left with a weekly truck payment of about $160 a week. I assume from the maintenance fund that it is probably a high mileage truck which is not necessarily a bad thing. I'm just asking for more information.

That is a lot of the difference in income. My payment is $480 a week. If I added three hundred a week to my bottom line I would have similar numbers. It shows what happens with a low truck payment or better yet, no truck payment.

Well I just paid off my promissory note! There is another 200 a week! My babys in the shop I had a hold in the oil return line off of the turbo. Once I got her home I was losing a gallon of oil a day. I should be back on the road tomorrow!

I have had to do resets in some pretty sucky places, but it will be hard to beat this one. I am stuck at the consignee in the middle of nowhere. The town is Surgoinsville TN and I am in the industrial park. There is nothing else even close. Part of the problem is that I only have two hours until Thursday and it's at least an hour and a half in any direction to find a truck stop. Who knows where my next load will be and I sure don't want to go the wrong way...so here I sit.
