Eric, good luck if you really wanna make more money join the 57 club. Cruise at 57 mph and it could mean more than 200 a week in your paycheck. Keep your tire pressure over 100 and it will lessen your rolling resistance. Try to keep more weight on your drives so you are hauling the loading rather than towing it. Roehl is 100% right about proggressive shifting, it works. Look up hyper milers on line and you will get alot of tips to improve mpg's.

####, such a clean truck.....which mine was that clean. It come with the Sat radio antenna?
-
It had some broken POS one on there but no that one come from my other truck got that bout 6 months ago. I can't live without the sat. Radio lol.. thanks it was in better shape than exspected. Couple little mech. Issues that will be covered by roehl that I found in time to have it listed on the warrenty but nothing major.
-
Dont they require a 07 or newer truck for L/o?
-
No, you can have an older truck as long as it passes DOT is what I was told.

Wanted to give an update for 01/11.. so for so good. Been in the truck for about 6 weeks now with no major problems. Still have to get some warranty work done but that's not gonna cost me due to going through the truck with a fine tooth comb. Everything that is currently a issue will be covered no out of pocket.
Miles have defently improved since switching over.. used to avg about 1900 to 2100 as company. Now it is about 2500 for jan. And feb. Looks like closer to 2600.
I have kept the spending to a min. With only buying stuff to improve or repair. ( tailight wire broke so I replaced it ysterday) just little things like that no biggie.
Pay has been around 1k a week net. So typically after I take out for quarterly taxs I'm netting around 800 to 950 a week. Compared to 400ish as company.
But I will be spending about 400 this trip out on a PM and switch over to a semi-syn. Oil..
Saving up to purchase to ext. Warranty from frightliner on the drivetrain. Which is due at 500k and will extend for 200k for $2000.00 a no brainer for me lol.
I alo use ATBS for accounting and the cabs course which is money well spent I think. They have helped greatly on showing profit and loss and keeping business and even personal spending limited. If u can use them I would say its 16 bucks a week well spent for sure -
Been following ur advise and I concur its a huge help. With the fuel high right now our surcharges are up which by keeping it 57 to 58 I'm making money from it even after fuel cost! Also see a improvement by keeping more weight on drives and not tandems as well... thanks!!DrtyDiesel and roehl929 Thank this. -
