Rerun8963 I see the problem here. You like the cop and the people that came up with these laws can only see in black and white. This is not a racial remake. It just means there is no in between with you or people like you. No understanding, no compassion just right or wrong. You say drivers don't deserve any compassion or understanding because we are supposed to be professionals. That one sentence tells us all we need to know about you. You might as well say all drivers are supposed to be perfect and if you are not perfect you deserve what happens to you. I am not bi-polar sir but you are narrow minded and short sighted. Are you sure you don't work for DOT? If not maybe you should think about applying! They will like you!!!

About the cop, I said I can't blame a man for Doing is job, but I can blame him for How He Does His Job.

maybe im naive but i dont think cops, (at least all of them) are out to get you. just keep the roads safe and drivers compliant with the laws. i would imagine they'd give you an escort to a truck stop but thats just my opinion and it should be taken with a grain of salt since im not a otr driver...

it is in black and white.....the cop owed you nothing...he cited you for your infraction....those infractions were in a book, on white paper in black ink, thusly, "black and white"...here you are crying some more because you do not like what you are hearing, just like the day you got nailed....you only wanna hear what you wanna hear....

blame is blame..on the one hand you do not blame him, then you do.....

you are done..no one buys into your story, as it was all in black and white when you said it and the responses you got...

    tah-tah.....

I run legal. My company runs legal.
I am not concerned about CSA. I may get a few points here and there for "speeding" in probable cause states. Or for a clearance light out now and then. (none in several years on either). But I do my pretrips well. I fix any issues with the truck quickly.
I do not go over on my logs, unless it is an emergency situation.
So 98% of the time if I happen to get pulled over for a random they will not find anything. Unless they are being SUPER picky.
Which means that it would be a rare occasion all the way around for them to get lucky enough to catch me at a bad time.
And I know this will not happen more than 1 or 2 times every few years.

Drivers and company's that have a track record for running over hours, speeding, not inspecting or fixing equipment etc. Will not last past the next few years.
That is just how it is.
Drivers need to know this and make a change in how they operate.
If they cannot make this change, or the company will not change. Then the drivers need to either get a new line of work or a new company.
Because it is not going to get any easer for them.
YES this is exactly what CSA was designed to do. And hopefully it will do it.

To Delta5, yes it would. I will try to make this clear once again. I know people like rerun8963 will jump all over this and say I'm just crying my eyes out but most of you will understand. Although I do not like what Butler did, I do think they could have taken another course of action. I do know why they did what they did and the reason is the CSA rules. It is not my intent to sling mud on Butler. I liked driving for them and liked the people working there. My intentions here is to voice my opinion on the CSA and to let all the drivers out there know the danger of these new rules. Who knows! Maybe they will work and every driver will become as perfect as Rerun but but I feel they will only cost good drivers with clean records their jobs.

if one has CSA points, how does that make one a good driver with a clean record...??? by breaking the laws, that were printed in black and white..???

we have background records, driving records, CSA records, medical records, employment records, DUI records, arrest records, many of or all these sum up a driver that should be removed....you sir, are on your way to a new career....

Rerun8963 you remind me of those guys that get on the CB and start a argument just because they think it's fun and funny. The only thing to do is ignore them and refuse to be pulled into their b/s. Say what you want, believe what you want I really don't care! I refuse to be pulled into you b/s I will not respond to you again.

good luck with that...just don't "blame me" because you don't hear things your way.....

i let the others stroke your ego and your crying

    tah-tah...

Butler Transport uses the Qualcom E-logbook. It does have a line 5 for personal and safe haven conveyance. The driver cant access it, but the logbook dept can. You have to call them and tell them when you run over.

I just left these guys because I wasnt making any money. Too much sitting at 32cpm + no detention pay + strict e-logbook = crappy pay. I finally had to leave and go home. I told the fleet director "If i wanted to be poor, I would rather sit at home and be poor instead of sitting in a truck cab...".

Other than the crappy pay, they treated me very well. I had a good truck too. If they would offer a real pay package, I would go back in a heartbeat...
