spoke w/sandi this mornin just to confirm 6/11 as my date with the academy and she has been great throughout this entire process, hope to meet her, but anyway I asked her what to expect an basically we are gonna hit tha ground runnin. I mentioned this forum to her and she familiar with it an spoke highly of the drivers that post here, she basically spoke highly of FFE all together and that is good to know there are companys still out there that "care" about their people. for ya'll starting academy on 6/4, best to ya's and prolly be seein ya around tha ranch, to the drivers I look forward to meetin ya'll and possibly sharing in this pride I feel you guys have for this company (there are some negative posts out there but they are easily dismissed) and to FFE "thank you" for this opportunity. one last thought to ponder, I putting the wrenches down to live in something the size of a large closet, deal with impossible traffic, back into impossible docks and deal with some crazy weather, whats up with that ? I don't know but I know I scared (still) but stoked...more to come...

well i still have to pack yet --we have the written part down good -- i can be a little bit of a perfectionist at times so i would like to get 100% - i am getting over being nervous about it -- its going to be here quick now those days will fly by -- thank god we are driving down -- i am glad your in our class horsegurl --nice to kinda know somebody -- skinnerz will keep a seat warm for you lol --from most of what i have found out its the attitude that makes the difference in getting through the class -- I couldnt imagine going into this with a bad attitude but i guess some do ---there is a nice pool at the motel so bring a bathing suit lol -- sounds like some long days and they get an early start at it - - the continental breakfast will help too ( at the motel )

I am glad i am kinda going to know someone there too. I have a very positive attitude and outlook on things. Also I AM a quick learner so I have good faith that I AM going to do well. Oh I AM definitely bringing my bathing suit, especially after being out in the sun, a nice dip in the pool at night right before bed will be the cherry on a sundae after a long day at FFE :)

thats my thinking too -- will be nice to chill by the pool --- all the women stay at the motel and i get to stay there cause we are together --- well you sound like your ready and will do fine -- i read somewhere women are 4 times likely to get through the cdl road test the first time than men lol --- oh well

Thanks buckeye horsegurl and all ( Love Greenvul). Still thinking about going to FFE. Already have my CDL A, combo, brakes, hazmat/tank X.
But that's just book learning and the background and fingerprint deal. Got my 4 week class ad Drivers test for $500 bucks plus physical TSA, etc. (pays to know people in the biz) ( Can't believe my local county sheriff's office charged my 30 bucks for the fingerprint!) Only 2 OTR trips, South Dakota to LA two years ago; let my med card lapse but no big deal getting that back. Starting over for training, seems best. Carriers want no more than 90 days from schooling to hiring. Gonna pay out of pocket so no hostage later. That's why want to know creature comforts and so forth. Wonder if I can get a Pell grant? I know you're all gonna be busy but keep us updated on EVERYTHING and please don't sugarcoat it. I think a lot are going to be watching you guys. Good Luck and the Lord be with You!! Greg
