Why it just gotta be New Generation? I've seen plenty of Older O/O that don't know what they are doing. Trucks looking like a POS missing parts paint peeling everywhere cracks.. Some of these trucks look like they where pulled right from a junk yard. Then there another half that don't even know there numbers or what its truly costing to run said truck.. This is why i don't go inside a truck stop and sit down. Then you gotta hear all the BS that comes with it everyone trying to make themselves sound like they are a pro hauling nothing less then $8 a mile and making 500k take home being solo doing van freight...
found an old bottle of that couple of weeks ago and put it on the shelf by the medicine cabinet. get asked alot,"what the heck is that?!" lol younger guys like to argue that mercury was never used for medicine!! .
So i missed a bunch lol. Also sweet! thanks at @REO6205 give my thanks to the ones who did the pokeing and changeing not sure how that works on the back end and who did what. Anyway as to the whole work thing. My personal view is that it is a means to an end. I work hard now while i have my youth to ensure in my old age i can be that grumpy old codger on his owned in full front lawn screaming at kids to get the hell off it, spoiling his nephews and nieces, fishing or hunting or gardening whenever i want and to play games in the background while working on guns when i meed cash. Ideally my goals as they are in my head are i replace or repower my pete. Spend the 2 or 3 years transitioning my degree online to a firearms degree will take while OTR. Once i have it if im lucky i can sell my trucking business and get enough to have my soon to be purchased home owned in part or in full with the house built and no student loans. Then once i have that plan is to go work for a local mine or gunshop in my area depending on what work i can get and go to the local tech college for my machineing and welding degree on the side and move into full time gunsmithing because its my sthick and i can see myself dieing happy doing it because it is literally fun to me building and working with them To achieve that goal i gotta make the trade now. Use the time i have to work my arse to the bone getting the groundwork laid then transition to a place where i can do whatever the hell i want. Likely ill never be as well off as D.Tibbitt or Midwest Trucker but thats fine. My goals are diffrent. And frankly i have seen and known way to many people who go about that backwards and end up in their 70s working full time unable to retire and generally hateing life and humans in general. I made a vow to myself id rather eat a bullet then be like the people in the area i grew up. But thats just me. Others have other motives and reasons to work themselves to the bone.
I gamed a little when I first started but found I dont have time for it on the road. Hell I don't even watch my tv either. I have a MacBook Pro and I use it for everything. It is more then enough to keep me entertained or busy doing work on it.
Agreed on this just like I do with people on drugs. It is because they have no self control or have the correct priorities in place to be successful.
Depends a lot on the age of parents as well. I was born in 76 but raised more like the 50-60's since my father was 59 when I was born.
