    LA or Bakersfield?

But then........ between the two counties I think everyone in the country is related to someone here! :biggrin_25525:

Reminds me of when I started posting on one of these sites a few months back and mentioned I worked at Scotsman's Restaraunt (next to Bruce's Truck Stop)
when I was 15-16 years old............ apparently the place has quite the reputation!!! :biggrin_25523:

    Ahhhh YeS!
    The Streets of Bakersfield.
Buck Owens, Dwight Yokem and Happy Harvick territory.

Y'all don't have to go to the Land of the Rising Sun to find a "big city".
    NopE!
Just a few hours south of Bakersfield, over or around the Grapevine --- and waa-Laa, Los Angeles --- and a couple of million known residents. And the English language is dying as it's replaced with Spanish and ebonics.
    Lo Verdadero!

    No kiddin'?
    Small world.
I've had more than a few meals there.

Bruce's Bakersfield truck stop is much nicer than Bruce's Tulsa, Oklahoma truck stop.
Especially after that mile-wide tornado went right through it.
Talk about the way they park!
Big trucks were parked on their roofs,
    and wrapped around pillars.
    Buncha rookies. :biggrin_25523:

    No mucho.
    Zero, zilch, nada, mi amigo.
    Como esta? :smt028

I don't blame you one bit, Mr. Bowles.
I've been there many times, and I'm here to
    tell y'all, --- it ain't all it's cracked up to be. :biggrin_25512:

If y'all don't expect much there, y'all will STILL
    be disappointed. :biggrin_25525:
