You don’t know until you ask right? Sounds like you’ve done a good job and the boss has noticed in the past. If he respects you I’m sure he will atleast entertain a conversation about it.
Out of curiosity, what’s the freightliner?

Its the one in my profile pic lol. Nothing special but ive loved it since my very first day working here when i washed it for busy work

2001 freightliner classic, signature 600 cummins, 18spd, full lockers, 48" flat top (everyone says its a 60 but its clearly not) it has engine difficulties outlined in an earlier post, but if it was repaired id be all over it

So. Just a slight update lol. I dont think im going to bother discussing that truck purchase with my boss. Yesterday i had to run a triaxle load to mass, which my truck is not permitted for, so i had to take another truck.

This lead to me driving a columbia with the flat top sleeper. Same size as my old one. It is very uncomfortable going from the 72" high top condo back in to a 48" flat top. I dont think i want to make a big investment in a truck i wont be comfortable in lol.

On a very positive note, today is day 2 truckin an 18spd again. It feels good to be shifting gears again!

    Stay safe out there

Got to stretch my legs a little bit this week. Not a whole lot but more than i have been. Went down to mechanicsville, va and reloaded in winchester, va. Last night and tonight at the Harrisburg, pa flying j, which is one of my favorite truck stops. NH bound as soon as this 10 is up then who knows.

Everybody check in. Where are you? What are ya doin? Im getting tired of talking to myself again lol.

Regardless... Stay safe out there. Ill be back.

Sitting at home (Mississippi) having some coffee and getting ready for the road. Things have slowed down a bit at my company. Stressing about being able to pay all the bills on time. Anyway, keep it safe!

On a load from Sioux Falls, SD to Salem, OR. A small oversized load (10 feet wide but otherwise normal). Doing well overall.

Things are slowing down for the winter in the water world. Back to 5 days a week. Cooked up a couple filet Mignon for a nice dinner with my wife. Now currently binge watching the new season of shameless. I guess it’s a date night lol

Happy thanksgiving drivers! Ive been a while, but im still out here doing my thing. Been dealing with some personal issues and changes at work so i havent been in the mood/had the time to post.

After some talking with the bosses at work in the interest of being home more often and maintaining flexibility in my schedule, my job has changed slightly.

I've been working mostly in state hauling triaxle loads to a dedicated customer and deadheading back. 1 round a day, home nightly, almost the same weekly pay as running long. It has been decent. Idk how long that same gig will be there but ill enjoy it while it lasts.

Enough about me lol. How has everybody been? Hope you all have done okay with the storms and made it home or someplace good for the holiday.

    Stay safe out there
