I follow this thread. Don’t ask why, but it’s interesting following someone’s mundane day to day and mishaps, etc. Even if it’s the same stuff I do lol. I’m sure there are more than you think who follow this
As a new guy the mundane intrigues me more than most things. It’s what I’ll have to accomplish. It’s nice getting a bit of a cheat sheet. Threads like this should be required reading for people who want to be drivers. I mean where else would I have found out that I should wear sweat pants, flip-flops, and take my 30 at fuel pumps just to name a few? Lol Keep up the good work @Samarquis
Well thanks for the feedback everyone. I honestly had no clue this had a following of any sort. I will continue to update
Looking forward to your thoughts on what it is like being out of the Northeast for the first time. Although not sure Miami is a good first experience. A word of warning, parking around Miami is practically non-existent. Might need to park a little North and get in to deliver and get back out as quickly as possible. Best wishes!
Rest assured you are not talking to yourself; the inter-webs has lots of lurkers. Not saying that in a bad way, just fact - not everyone responds with a comment or thread. Your perspective never having been out of Maine is also of interest, my childhood to about 17 was taking an adventure vacation anywhere, and everywhere, in the USA and Canada, been everywhere - couldn't drive to Hawaii, or I guess we would have been there, too. Keep posting, as it IS of interest to everyone - for their own reasons.
On my 30 at the NC welcome center. All i can say so far is that it is strange, but amazing down here. It looks almost like home, but then it doesnt. I'm loving the long run, and I think I'll be doing more of them. Parking is definitely a concern. I should be starting around 1am, 7 hours drive to get in, unload, and hopefully get reloaded or deadhead out of there to a good place to park. Not sure what the backhaul situation is yet...
I had never driven out of New England and NB/NOVA Scotia until this job. Wait until you get into IL and West lol. It’s just not right to be able to see nothing but flatland in every direction. I had never even thought about land like that really. The more I see the more everywhere feels sort of the same, atleast driving. And the more I love living where I do
In Hendersonville, SC. Taking my 10 and rolling around midnight. People actually live in this heat?! Its 108. I #### near died when i opened the door lmao. Its beautiful from the a.c. though
