Sorry but I guess I'm in that kind of mood this morning.

If you were all this smart, with that high iq and all, you would find something less to do with driving and more to do with managing, with a thousand other things that can be done, becoming an owner operator isn't one.

Also two other things, the first is what case was this African thing happening with, I mean if it got to a jury, then it is in the public domain so it would be interesting to read about it, which as a sideline that lawyer must have been really stupid to take clients on like that. Juries by the way don't have to let anyone go, they make a choice.

But the other thing is that trucking does take a lot of brains, focus is the result of those brains. One issue we have with idiot drivers who screw up this industry (I can't call it a profession with attitudes I've seen lately) is this problem with drivers who are stupid and can't drive, having a brain means that you can learn from your mistakes or better for you learn from others and avoid problems but thinking that focus is the only thing you need to drive is dumb.

i only read the OP post. Man, and I thought my luck was bad with a few months here and there. But also, looking at the whole "be your own boss" thing too. Tired of being told to run over hours, etc.

No offense meant but how on earth did you get fired so many times? I have my own authority and truck and trailer but it is way harder than working for anyone else. True you don't have a boss breathing down your neck but you have to do all the same things they were hassling you about and even more. If you couldn't do a job for someone else I don't see how you will succeed doing one for yourself.
