Come on folks, lighten up. Obviously Mikeee was making a light hearted joke, not a personal attack on SP. Did you not notice the "Hehehehee"?Not everyone on this forum is on it every day in order to follow all the threads and situations that are being faced by posters.
We all wish the best for SP and anyone else here facing severe medical problems. But stomping Mikeeee for an innocent comment, probably not necessary.

I'll say this, I know when I'm tired, I take breaks when I'm tired. Sometimes after 11 hours of driving i'm dead beat tired, sometimes I can run 20 hours before I'm ready to sleep, depends on where im driving and other such conditions. I drive my truck how I want to, I wouldnt ask someone to drive out of their comfort zone, but why should I have to abide by stupid rules because somebody says I'm tired after 11 hours.

Knowing your comfort zone and staying within it is so important. I can completely relate to that stuff Logan! There were days when it felt like 5 hours was too darn much for me and other days where I just wasn't tired at all too. I think just about every one has those same issues!

The most annoying thing about the push for the new changes is that the accident rates are at their lowest in decades, yet some think that's not good enough.

The other annoying thing is that the ones pushing for the changes don't target the 4 wheelers who have no limits on how long they can work and drive at all. They also don't bother to mention that in 94% of the accidents between cars and big trucks where sleepiness/drowsiness is cited as a factor, it was the driver of the car that was sleepy or drowsy, not the truck driver.:biggrin_25510:

    I agree with that!
    Except the 4 hour part...

If there was just some sory of breathalizer for drowsiness. You put it on your arm and get a shock when sleepy! Haha

The general public are not really informed of the GOOD stats when it involves trucks / trucking just the bad.

Look at yesterdays BUS CRASH near New York City , when the Bus driver first told his STORY it involved a tractor trailer doing things that caused him to crash , was VOICED quite loudly on the News Broadcasts.

Now passengers are TELLING a different version.

And the cops have stated that the truck was not involved now. The media is a bunch of vultures that thrive on sensationalism.

With Werner's electronic logs, it's nearly impossible to falsify your logs.
There are a few places you can change Line 4 to Line 1 if it will give you more hours but that's about it. If you were driving from 6a-10a and tried to change line 3 to line 1 for that time, Logs will kick back an error message saying "Log cannot be changed, vehicle in motion" or something like that.

Cut my hours down I make less money. I make less money, the company I work for makes less off of me. Company raises rates to stay in business. Consumer prices go up. Rich get richer, middle class goes to poor and poor get poorer. I bet the liberals run their home budget conservatively.

This is true. Once stereotypes get started its very hard to reverse them. When a 4 wheeler gets cut off by some cowboy in a Pete with shark teeth on the grill all it does is reinforce the opinion he formed of truckers watching Smokey and the Bandit.

You tend to remember the idiots not the safe drivers. They don't spark emotional responses and are soon forgotten.
