Things on a truck a cop would look at for a random inspection?

    I honestly don't know for sure one way or the other. I do know that the very nature of an RF chip is a tag. I don't know of any other method to see tire pressure other than a TPM system. DOT can see tire temps using infrared sensors!

    RF chips in tires carry info that can be scanned, like date of manufacture, batch number, etc. They cannot tell PSI without a power source.

    Now that being said, TPMS does operate with RF. So if you have TPMS, they could be able to scan it. But TPMS and RFID are two separate things.

    The Vortex1 measures up to 1260 mbar. For the layman, that's 18 PSI.
