It's not just you. Heck, I don't even bother calling after hours within my 14 hour clock anymore. I call them after my shift now. The other night, I was on hold for 1 hour and 40 minutes. I called them at midnight, layed in bed with the phone in my chest going to sleep, and 1 hour 40 minutes later I finally got someone on the line, for a 2 minute conversation. Ugh, I'm about to puke just thinking about it. Having flashbacks now....

Also, my paystub from yesterday shows I have made $15,700 in exactly 3 months working for the company.

    Not bad you say?

Heck yes this is bad, considering the amount of work involved in consistently hitting 3000 miles a week. Plus winter is here, so miles are sure to go down the coming months.

If I was on Choice I would stay below I-70 the next few months, as a company I am forced to come up North regardless!

I'm working way to hard to make way less money than you Choice guys.

The biggest thing that bothers me about Schneider though, company driver side, is the taking advantage of brand new, unknowing drivers aspect.

Almost all Mega Carriers do it, is just that Schneider seems to be doing it the worst.

I consider them the Walmart of trucking.

Dude you are delusional LOL. You think you'll stay below I-70 all winter on choice? Yeah, you and 80% of all choice drivers. Southern drivers? They refuse to go above I-70. Northern drivers? A majority of them dream about the warm weather during winter.

With that said, what does common sense tell you about the rates? Crappy icy cold weather will have an upward effect on rates, while warm sunny southern weather will drive down rates.

So yeah, stay in your southern utopia during the winter and enjoy your sub-$1.15/mile rates (fuel surcharge included by the way).

oh boy does he have a rude awakening coming for him... And as you're probably aware I live down in Houston but I'm smart enough to know when the snow comes I'm going to be going on as long as its not a blizzard in a major storm I'll Drive in the snow because that's where the money is

Last winter I never even left WI, IL, IN, MI, or OH. Maybe some northern KY, but with the constant goodyear freight in cold icy weather paying $2/mile why even mess around with $1/mile rates in the south? Actually, in hindsight I did take a good paying load from Gary, IN to near Albany, GA during the winter (by the way it was in the 20's in GA overnight that day LOL) I went straight back to the arctic the next load.

    Dude.. okay just stop.
Remember you're a COMPANY driver pulling a Van at a mega carrier and on track to earn over $60k a year!
That's better than a lot of people doing the same thing.
Last time I was a company driver I worked my behind pulling a reefer and I wasn't on track to earn that much.
You're doing well here and Schneider is giving you miles, be grateful.
Sure you deal with some some BS, we all do but at least you're earning well for what it is.
A lot of people can't say that these days.

    This is true......
Northeast was at it's finest for loads and rates when they were getting blasted by all those storms last winter!
I even remember seeing a load for $1.90 from MA to IA although that was when MA was under 6 feet of snow lol.

this guy actually thinks that we could do hardly any work and make big bucks... On another thread that he posted on Schneiderhe claims he can't wait to get on the choice because he's going to run nothing but light loads and do 70 miles an hour and bring home $3,000 a week because the rest of us do that every week to according to him... He won't last 3 months over here on this choice.

What I can't ever seem to figure out is why, if someone hates driving for Schneider so much, they don't just quit and go somewhere else. There are literally hundreds and hundreds of large and small trucking companies out there that are hiring all the time. It's one thing to share an experience that happened when you used to work somewhere, but talking about how bad your current company is without saying anything about even trying to find another job just blows my mind.
