I guess I've got this one. Its a stainless steel bung used to attach a valve to a big poly storage tank. I built 5 or 6 of them IIRC. All tig welded.

The bottom flange is just to stabilize the top flange to minimize warping while I welded it. Once it cools that is removed. Put a gasket on it and slide it through the hole from inside the poly tank, the second flange goes over the pipe and bolts from the outside and is tightened down with nuts to squeeze the gasket firmly between the welded flange and the inside of the tank.

Considering I just saw a set of "duals" up against the guardrail in PA. Who needs that nonsense going down the road.

Same to you Opus. I’ve been driving miles all full of smiles.

I’ve got myself where I’m basically out for 5 days home for 2, unless #### goes wrong then it’s out for 7-10 days home for 2. No complaints. I feel like a normal human being. Almost.

Any special plans for the holidays? I’ll just be at home unless a panic load shows up that pays too much.

These are some wire feed welds I did about 6 or 7 years ago. They are more along the lines of "Stackin' Dimes"...
