6cpm over 2000 loaded miles is $120. It's not chump change.

    Drifter42 Thanks this.

Yes that's what I'm talking about. I used to have my hazmat, but let it go when they started the background check and at that time I didn't pull any hazmat anyway, so I just dropped it instead of spending I think the was like $108. Now I can see 6 reasons why I should get it back.

Plus the upside to being with ACT if you go to liberty with the documents you need they will pay for the background check and do your prints there. Only thing out of your pocket is when you get it put on your license

They didn't pay for mine but that is OK. I get a couple cpm. :D The whole Patriot Act did kind of make it a hassle to renew though. The federal government doesn't know how to cross-share information so we pay extra every five years (which is four years since my license expires after four years). I've only had to pay and have it done twice in about the last three years.

Tennessee is not one of those states where you can do that. They have to be different and make you do the background check in state lol. But Act still will pay for the background check or may I say reimburse me. Thats cool:biggrin_25519:

Good Idea Drifter. When you get that hazmat you just gave yourself a 4k/yr raise in pay.And you don't even have to haul it if you don't want to.You have the right attitude about the job.If you start crying about what other drivers are doing you will end up on this thread crying with them.I do like you said,my job and work as hard as I can.

    BlackLions and Drifter42 Thank this.
