My comment was mainly a result of the statement about 'upgrading my detector'. Such blatant disregard for the law and the speed limit deserves an immediate CDL revocation in the name of safety.

Kinda my feelings on it. Anyone needing a radar detector should not have a license. It should be an automatic year suspension of driving privilege if caught with one.

    Perhaps.

For the record, I drive a truck that is governed at 75, and the only times I drive in the center lane are when I've moved over for merging traffic and the 4 wheelers don't make room for me to get back to the right lane, and / or when I'm traveling at the posted speed limit, or if the right lane is blocked or otherwise unsafe for my truck to travel in. If I'm traveling at the speed limit, then there is no need for ANY traffic to be passing me, on either side - so no obstruction of (legal) traffic. And I can and have scaled that 47,500 legally, but with less than half tanks of fuel. And I had to visit the restroom to shed a bit more weight.

I may be new to driving a truck, but I'm certainly not new to driving. And common sense is not a foreign concept.

As others have said, "it's not rocket surgery"

Well, that's kind of a vague question with a lot of possibilities for answers. Lot lizards immediately come to mind, but Please, give us your opinion.

He is fishing for lane change. But what does a newer driver know?

Years of experience does not make one more knowledgable. One must be willing to learn for that to happen. Doing the same thing the same way for 20 years also does not make it safe or right.

With you vast knowledge, experience and spouting off about everything, it might be best to learn it sometime.

You believe I don't have the right to pass you if your doing the speed limit? And your axle weights are right on even with the surge in that skin tank?

Well golly gee enlighten us. So many to pick from.

Are we talking all acts" legal ones, illegal ones, some bilge you read in a book?

I would say excessive speed and tailgating have to be right up there. Maybe wearing prescription sunglasses at night.

Or how about attacking someone for their lack of years you actually dispute with fact and logic what he is putting forth.
