TMC's % rate pay and general questions

I can't wait to get done school so I can get started at TMC.

 

TMC got prepass back? They put inverters in the trucks too? I almost wish I would have stayed now. In my experience though, you will never make 32% Ever. I ran my ##### off every week, kept my out of route under 10%, kept my idle time to almost nothing, made on time delivery every time but one, fuel mileage was superb. and never made it above 27%, then they made a change so it dropped me down 2%. I have to admit though, I do miss the place. I love the trucks, and I love flatbeds. One thing is for sure, they will teach you how to do things the right way, so take advantage of it. You can do things the wrong way when you get in your own truck.

 

in my short time there (7 mo) i reached 31% twice and as soon as i got there BAM!..out of nowhere my idle time went up along with my out of rout dropping me back to 27%..and i never did anything different..i think the % pay system is a scam..thats why they want everyone on it..they can take off the top before they dispatch you on the load..i keep in touch with my old trainer and he went to pay per mile and is glad he did..gets paid for every mile even empty instead of the first 50 empty miles on you.

 

They don't..The yard trucks at Hamricks are Freightliners and couple of Ford that are on their last legs. The road trucks are Freightliners and Volvo's.
