$700 x 200 trucks= $140,000. I don't know how many trucks Superior has, but it gets pretty costly.

According to the FMCSA, they have 964 trucks and if they put these in it would cost $674,800. That's a lot of money.

Sorry but that is fantasyland thinking. One driver who is disillusioned on the whole way of life in the trucking industry, enough so that he is contemplating a career change. So he decides the truck will suddenly ride better with a new seat. So now the TM should go out and get him one.

I hate to disappoint, but it don't work that way. One driver is not indispensable. One goes, another good one comes along. Who maybe is happy to be in the newly available Mack.

I gotta agree. There's 3,000,000 drivers with fresh meat coming in every day. The only way to "have it your way" is to buy your own.

Trucking companies would rather hire new drivers, than give you an extra nickel.

    Immigrate to Australia.
Drivers always needed, and easy to make over a 100k as a company driver.
    Just a thought. :)

Ya great idea. Airplane seats are horrible and isn't the flight about 32 hours?

Just like any other industry. A trucking company is a business, not a charity that aids drivers in fulfilling a fantasy of going down the road in a big trailer truck.

I have a news flash for anyone that thinks otherwise.

Yep I agree, plenty of people fall in love with the dream or image of seeing the country in their rig. Forgetting it's a job and can be loaded with crap and pressures.
Sort of like people who fall in love of buying a motorcycle, buy one and ride it twice a year !
