Tolerance for being over weight?

    I've been ticketed for 500# over on tractor drive axles. The guy wanted me to climb over the top of 48' of beer pallets and shuttle 500# to the rear. I asked him how much the fine was. $100.. I said write the ticket.

    Depends on the states and roads, 34k isn't a set nationwide limit for all roads. You'll have to look up the exact guidelines for each state you'll be travelling through.

    For example,
    I did a load a while back from the MO/IL boarder to Denver and was at 35k on my tandems with them all the way back. But...
    MO allows up to 36k on non-interstate hiways so I just had to stay off i70 through MO.
    KS is allowed to give 5% leeway, up to 1,500lb over so up to 35,500lb.
    CO has a limit of 36k on interstate highways.
