Same here, I want all info or I don't sign nothing. I do have a list of "never go back to" places.whoopNride and DSK333 Thank this.
-
Exactly. They know who the PIA customers are and will try to hide their locations or commodity information hoping to get somebody twice.adayrider Thanks this.

I would have cancelled the load when I heard 10 mile logging road requiring chains. I'll use chains to get out of a bad spot, not in.86scotty, Dale thompson, adayrider and 1 other person Thank this.

I called the guy immediately after booking the load, but it went straight to voicemail. He didn’t call me back until yesterday late afternoon which makes things worse since it’s the weekend. Already booked a backhaul too, so both are lost. I’m certainly not hitting the road at 3am to go on an excursion through the forest for $1200. It was funny when he said he doesn’t have trouble getting up the road, but he has a pickup with four wheel drive. Thanks man, that really helps me out.86scotty, Dino soar, DUNE-T and 1 other person Thank this.

That's almost as funny as, "we get it moved for X amount all the time." Oh yeah? Where are all those trucks now? Maybe you should call them because it's not going on my trailer!

Even better when they beg you with a bs rate and expect you to take pity on their sob story of misquoting the customer. Had that happen last week. When one of those phone calls looking for a random truck was actually where I was. Figured I could cash in. Nope. High value load also. (I have high cargo insurance).

No address No Phone No Service. I plug in shipper address and google reviews of shipper receiver when i can i usually stall asking questions why i plug in address on googe maps. I see something i dont like rate goes up or i dont pull it

Its Contract season for brokers they are gonna screw the driver as much as possible to renew their contracts with shippers. Drivers need to be mindful of this and beat them at their own game that simple
86scotty, Opendeckin and DSK333 Thank this. -
Lott drivers say if the road is totally dry you can make it without chains. But any other time you need chains. If you’re chained up and spin out they will have a machine pull you, but you’re on your own if you spin out without chains.
There’s not much coming out of that area other than the mine or hay. So I’d be leary of booking a load out of Challis to start with. Hopefully you don’t get too screwed on the deal. -
I’m just bailing on it. They can’t pay me enough to go. The guy said the road is covered with snow, so it’s definitely a chain situation. I don’t want to put my equipment in a situation where I need to be towed by a cat into some small half ### mine. That and there’s no way I can make it from home to there by 7:30.Opendeckin and Long FLD Thank this.
