LOL, you'll need a good strong jake on the Rabbit Ears...kind of steep on either side.

I did have! Well, on my usual truck anyway. Took a different truck over there once.. yeah, that was interesting at first! :biggrin_25513: Once I got her downshifted to where the (weak) jake was holding it things went much better! :biggrin_25523:

Well, I was just approved for the grant and passed the DOT physical, so it looks like I will be starting at SAGE on Monday!

My first week and a half at SAGE is complete. So far its been quite a bit of classroom, and one drive. At first, going over the CDL Permit stuff on our own with no instruction, I was a little disappointed. But things are starting to go better now, especially after the drive. Now I know that this is a career move I want to make!!

Yeah, only about 9 months late replying, but I just now saw this! :D

I actually JUST (2 weeks ago) found a driving job, right here in Chey, in fact. Load in Chey, delivering to oil rigs (up north by Douglas and down in Colo, right now -- more to come), flatbed and dry bulk loads.

    How's Gemini treating you?

Good to hear from you Leadfoot80 and I'm glad you found a driving job. Didn't take to long right? lol Gemini is going well and keeping me fed. I'm looking forward to warmer days with no snow.

Are you home every night or do you stay out some nights?

Let's say I'm home at least once every 24-hour period! It's on call, 24/7, and I'm the only driver up here right now. They are looking to hire at least one more driver so it won't be quite so hectic for me then. (If you know of someone good who is looking for a job, let me know!) For instance, I got called out at 8 last night, and got home at 6 this morning. The pay is worth it though.

i hear ya about the weather.. I could do with a lot less wind and less snow!

Actually yes I do know of someone here looking for a job. Can you send me a pm with your phone number and I'll text you if you don't mind?
