I would have a closer look at the math - especially what you estimate your fuel cost to be. Very conservatively $.45 to $.49 per mile for fuel. What did they quote you?
I messed up...lets try this again; .so when everything is paid for including insurance fuel etc..you are left with aprox 75cents/mile. 75 cents - truck payment ($3000)) If you are an owner op with your own truck you could make more money... but I can't get financed so I figure i might as well make more then a company driver and have the option of buying the truck. H&R you don't have the option of buying the truck ,trans X allows you to buy the truck. let me know your thoughtsTrans x also has a 29 cent fuel cap
So with aprx.71 cpm left you still take a $3000 truck payment out of that. 10,000 miles a month=$7100. $7100 minus the $3000 truck payment leaves you $4100,or about the same or even less than what you could make as a company driver for those 10,000 miles.
it would be 10,000 miles a month=$7500 (75 cents/mile) so you got $4500,,still not that much difference from a company driver..but you also own the truck at the end of it
