Trouble getting accepted for company sponsored CDL training due to work history?

    I wonder if you are getting the two issues confused? I never drove truck before. So 1099 is a seperate issue, other than my work history (in another profession).

    It is my understanding they are trying to prevent terriorist from becoming truck drivers, thus the history requirements. Imagine if joe blow terrorist gets behind the wheel of a haz-mat tanker, the damage they could potentially do.

    I know you never drove trk bEFORE.1099 may not be the everyday 9 to 5 job but it's still work is it not?

    Maybe prime does'nt consider you being a contractor as a job that they can put on file.Did you give them that number so they could call your employer for varification.

    I don't think the recruiter at prime looked past my application. It took them less then 1 day to decline my application. As I said before she didn't seem to want to do any leg work and was rather rude. I guess she'd got applications with people work a steady job for the last 10 years with Phd's or something, LOL.
