Definitely an uptick in freight and rates. A lot of restocking going on right now. Every truckstop and rest area I have passed or driven through since yesterday is packed to the hilt.

Italy has reported that while there are still new cases daily. It's not the expontial rise that was happening. It's more 'flattened out' now. So yeah it seems to be working.

Im torn on it honestly. On one hand I think people need to avoid large gatherings to help slow the spread of the virus. But im also a big believer in personal freedoms. The government does not have the legal authority to shut all bars down so if a bunch of ####### kids want to go party, that is their choice to make, not the government's.

Now they are discussing cutting off the sale of packaged alcohol and beer. Glad I just bought a bottle of bourbon last week.

So far, many of us, myself included, were not making much of it but it is hard to say what the outcome would have been so far or still would be, if it had been ignored and no measures taken.

No one questions personal liberties and such. It is ultimately a personal call what you do at your private beach or pool. I just would not feel comfortable knowing that I could potentially endanger someone more vulnerable just because I want to play ball on the beach. I just want things go back to normal. Everyone is going back to work, kids back to school, economy is moving forward. The beaches and sunsets will be there all the time.

BTW. We were planning next week vacation at Miami Beach, during Spring break...Miami Open was our main theme for being there. We were so impressed by that event last year, when they relocated it to the HardRock Stadium.

What are you guys seeing right now? Freight seems steady but I’m concerned we’re gonna fall off a cliff. I heard they are going to shut Chicago down?

From what I’m seeing it’s business as usual right now. Now that they’re actually getting more testing done I think it will increase panic once they realize how far this has spread already. My guess is there is a big drop in freight coming, just wish I knew when.

    edit: I hope I’m wrong.

MI-IL-IN-OH will suffer while car factories stay closed. Moving stuff in the south along i40 might be ok

The government will make sure ppl eat, because they know what will happen if they don't.
