The name of the game this week backing. Straight line backing which seems simple enough went okay I think I got the down shifting down for now ask me again in a couple of weeks and then there was driver side parallel parking which again simple enough not too much on that.

However passenger side I am going to be honest this is the first time I have struggled doing a maneuver and its driving me insane. Any advise would be appreciated.

Man,Your school teaches right side backing? I've never heard such a thing. I've been at the job a few years and still tear my hair out over blind side backing. I posted a similar question and got some good pointers. If they let you get out, and I hope they do, do it as many times as you have to. You know, get out and look get back in move a little get out again. Go slow, its not a race. If you have power mirrors, take advantage of them, Swinging that passenger side mirror as far outboard as possible will help a lot.

Look at the path your rear tires are going. Use both mirrors and do not oversteer, it is easier to fix it if you came too short.

my school does the right side(blind side) parallel parking to. Once I figured out to not over steer it got a lot easier for me. We are backing 53ft box trailers. Im bad to over steer but getting better and come in nice and straight and tractor straight with trailer. What school you at if you don't mind me asking? Im at alliance 2 weeks done 2 more to go. In my opinion that is not enough time for training and the amount of money it cost.

I am at MCC and its 8 weeks which also do not seem like enough training.
