It isn't BUT, Some companies have zero tolerance for DWI/DUI. Whether it's their policy or they are doing it for insurance discount/reasons.

Yeh, she didn't care about the 11 year old DUI, but the "recent" piss was the breaker. Said it had to be 10 years or older.
I know something will happen, just sucks right now.
Oh well, just keep on keepin on and never say die!

Go to Weiner. If you have a pulse, they'll hire you.

Basically, I was working as a whitewater river guide (responsible for customer's safety), and had two unruly 17 year old princesses in my boat along with other people (one was a old man with bad heart history). These two wouldn't do as they were told before a particularly hairy section of river, so I "emphasized" the importance of commands to them. And scared em pretty good.
Well, after the trip they went up the chain, and my boss' wife (who wanted me gone anyway) sent me off to piss "post incident", knowing full well I'd pop dirty.
I never did nor will deny the event, nor will I apologize. I spent 11 years in that field, and NEVER had an incident or accident.
But, this is all just a test of wills between me and the universe.
    Just patience and perserverance now.

'Basically" none of this makes any sense to me. (And of course you were puffing, you worked on the river. ) So what was the incident?

Were the "princessess tossed out of the boat?

Did you try to get together w/ both of em back in your tent?

Did either one of them take the bow of the boat or a paddle to the face?

Why did they rat on you?

You were a white water guide and you are listing that on your resume to get a job?

Did the White Water company further the results of the UA to somewhere where prospective employers can check.?

I only have so many questions just cause I worked as a backcountry fishing guide years ago in the BWCA and Quetico Park.where we were subject to UA tests.

I never failed because of the help of Lasix but other guys did and were fired. All the guides there smoked bud and I still speak to some of those guys and they say they never listed that employment stint on a resume.

to start its NOT DOT test related , If memory serves the few app I've filled out ask if you've ever REFUSED to take a test. Honestly dont recall if they asked for postive results from a test.

Good luck regardless. Whats the worst that can happen EVERYONE says no? Think thats unlikely. keep trying.

Nothin "fun" at all, just barked at em, all verbal. Low tone of voice, words they could understand, took it kinda easy on them, considering my reputation on the water. I guess they took offense to me reminding them that they had signed waivers and I didn't have to bring them back, alive or at all. I guess nobody ever put em down like that. Which I thought was kind of odd, because apparently their father was some sort of mucky-muck down at the Pentagon.

Yeh, I've been tryin to minimize my guide history (I don't list that company at all), but last year made 14 years, and that's a big chunk of work history.

I can't imagine the company passed the results along to anywhere, they're a raft company, that would involve waaaay too much follow-through :biggrin_2559: .

That's how I'm gonna deal with it from now on, it's not a 'real' DOT test, so it doesn't exist.
The actual on this app was "ever refused or failed...", so, I answered.
    But not next time!

Foust, fill out a slew of apps. Just read the questions VERY carefully. Answer them honest enough if theres a paper trail. I am by no means an authority on this , but the way some of these apps are worded , they give you an out. They seem to stick to DOT failures and employer refusals.
