 No truth to that statement at all. The carrier I'm with scans the paper logs into the computer. I've been using blue ink for years....even grabbed a red pen a time or two when my blue pen ran out of ink and red was all I had. Never had any issues.

The only requirement for log books is that they be legible. It doesn't matter if you use black ink, blue ink, red, purple, green, or any other color, so long as it is legible.

hmm well it does make sense that the scanner should pick up any colour--but for some reason they insisted on black
not sure how it could read my chicken scratchs at all --i mean it starts out neat--but after the 5th haz pickup of the day--and say 3 drops and a few hundred miles in there or so--it kinda looks like egyptian hieroglyfics

Yeah some people will even cite laws about ink color.:biggrin_2555:

    Well not laws but regulations.:biggrin_25525:

Well not regulations but a good idea.:biggrin_25524:

OK maybe not so brilliant of an idea but poster will divert attention by whining it is irrelevant:biggrin_25520:

Did the med van issue a double dose:biggrin_2556:

Toby Bogard is a TOOL! Watch his videos he's an idiot!

He posted a video of him being interviewed by landline or somthing at a truck show a few months ago and the guy ask him "what makes you an expert on trucking?" so toby says "well i've been driving for 10 years and have almost 1,000,000 accident free miles...." and the other guy says "so how does that make you an expert?" and all toby could say is the same thing over and over :biggrin_2559:

    His info sucks
His Videos suck (yes i know mine arnt all that great yet either)
All he does is plug Conway

oh hears a good one: He stops at some musume out on the road, and is filming it to post to youtube. And a few people inside almost walk in front of his camera and he says "oh its ok the more people i get on camera the better my fans on YouTube like it" the people say "fans?" and he says "ya i'm one of the most popular truckers on YouTube"

This is when i died laughing because

    Trucker Steve Has: 8,921 subscribers
    Eskimo Sean Has: 8,911 Subscribers
and EVEN I have: 238 Subscribers

and what does TOBY have? -> 143 Sure sounds like he's HUGE huh? :biggrin_2559:

This is the video i can't remember exactly how he says it but listen for "i have a HUGE one"

and this is the interview video:

I'm all for anyone that makes videos or helps new drivers, but this guy doesnt help anyone other then himself, just like BigCatTrucker:biggrin_25511:

i don't usually visit You Tube unless it's a video that has been posted on my internet's home page, and even then, those are usually about kids or animals, or dumb criminals..

so i guess i ain't missing too much if i miss a "Tobey" video....

some shades of blue are very light and others are very close to NONREPRODUCTIVE BLUE. witch is an editors pen in the printing business.

I have had to redo some scans because they were not readable due to the ink.

though it could be usefull on say a speeding ticket. lol

All the ink, books, training and behind the wheel experience in the world
are void when you mesh up out here.

You are only as good as the "LAST MILE" you drove(think long and hard on this)

Well over 3 decades out here 2,341 outta 2,341 brokered loads for LandStar*
Recovered and Delivered " ON TIME "

2,342 I was late by 20 minutes to a drop and hook "yard" 12:20 pm CST Sat.
the rent a cop had locked the gate and was BS'n with two drivers when I pulled in.
He refused to unlock the gate even after I showed my receipt for tire repair, and proceeded to jack his jaws some 30 min longer as I sat on the phone with LandStar pleading my case.

Come Mon. AM,my wagon was dropped and signed off before 6:00am,office opened at 8:00am,by 8:15am you would have thought I had robbed a bank.
7 Loads sitting since Fri,4 loads dropped before noon Sat. and My load #12 some how stopped the world from turning.

again, the last mile is what counts.
