Not sure what system you have - but they are generally located in the side of the catalyst closest to your DPF (particulate filter) if you follow the wiring harness from your DEF differential pressure sensor located on the side of the filter houseing (its usually black and has two metal lines coming from it and a harness plug) - it should lead you to 3 sensors - one being pre noX, one soot level and one post noX. Hope this helps - and I'm a female by the way
Yeah, I just changed the batteries, truck is asking for regen about once a week and on reload days when truck is idling. I thing I need the filter cleaned up as few hours of idle shouldnt be getting filters that dirty but anyway so far batteries did the trick
Thank you mine doing the same thing asking for parked regen almost every 2 days even im home everynight i dont idle i did change ventury pipe , egr delta p sensor ,dpf diff sensor, imap sensor, clean and baked dpf, replace 7th injector and difuser pipe a week ago but still asking for parked regen i will try the batteries and see if its work
If the soot is measured by the difference in pressure before and after the filter, could it be possible for an exhaust leak to make it seem like there's more soot than there is?
has anyone figured out the issue? Having same problem. batteries didnt make a difference. My soot level is going to about 80% in 100 miles after a forced regen. This is after the first drive after getting DPF filter cleaned. All the details of a forced regen are within spec, but for some reason the soot level increases at a VERY rapid rate, and doesnt do a passive regen. Is it possible the soot level sensor is bad and it really doesnt need a regen? The truck drives perfect besides the soot level
Hello did you changed the batteries I have the same problem right now its asking for parked regen on 3-4 days but first its saying poor def quality detected engine will derate in 60 min and soot level is full
