Also there is a "Cargill" restaurant service that FFE has. It's a team deal. I got close to running that when I volunteered for work, but I didn't have the hours to do it. I hear it's a lot of hard work, but again the pay is good if you are willing to do it. It did an extra plasma run and then went home due to being out of hours. The Cargill was looking like about 1500 pay for 3-4 days of work. That's what they were going to pay me anyway. But I ran out of time for the week. They won't stretch me at the expense of doing my plasma stuff.

I have driven for jbhunt in 3 different positions. I like jbhunt, their pay is steady and their benefits are good. However, the money is so so and you are ever so much better off taking a dedicated or intermodal, because otr miles are distributed among all drivers and they often don't have enough to go around.

Jb always needs intermodal in Houston. Regional pays better than local while giving you a set schedule of 5 days out 2 days home. 6th day optional when you want a fatter check.

out of Dallas-Fort Worth, Regional was about $1,000 a week gross 2 years ago, local less. If you go otr at 2200 miles a week you might make $1100. When looking at pay estimates on drive4jbhunt.com, pay is usually in the middle of the range they show. Top driver in the whole history of earth made the top pay. Everyone else somewhere in between. Hope that helps.

That $800 a week is after deductions. I have only had a couple under $800 take home as a solo driver and that was when I happened to take home time and had only 1 run.

Make sure you help out local/regional. Not only does it show you are a team player. They pay you well for it, and in the long run you will get the better linehaul loads.

Not arguing with you, you've been there and I haven't, but if they always need drivers isn't that a sign of high turnover? If there's a high turnover there must be a reason why nobody stays.

I don't know, it's probably the pay coupled with the petty safety team. They really nit pick the heck out of you. Still it was an easy job and great schedule. I loved it, I just love my new job more. But, you must have 2 years solid recent experience to work for my current company. Jb will hire you with 3 months experience.

I started there and left a couple months ago. The pay was $.40/mile. No inverter, no APU no refrigerator, no bonuses.

@TravR1 & @Jenn72 - Are the new trucks set up any better than this?

So tomorrow is my first week of being with JB, what a show. Orientation took 2 days, got my truck on Thursday of last week, heavily smoked in so I spent a day cleaning it, I’ve been on a wild goose chase for any empty trailer whatsoever, have yet to take any loads since trailers are in high demand.
