    Unfortunately, Murphy's replacement, Gilhooley likely WILL be working. (He is the guy that said that Murphy's Law was way too optimistic. . .):biggrin_2552:

    It is of course, your choice to run with it. But if you do get unlucky enough to get busted, it will be an expensive lesson. Good luck.

    I'd get to Alabama, slide em anywhere you can be legal as you are right as to no specs in Ms, La, or Tx. Used to run with tandems all the way back there for a better ride. Run US 89 out of Mobile up to Hattiesburg, Ms. US 49 from there to Jackson then I 20 to Dallas.

    Learn from this and gun it......ALWAYS scale ASAP, NOT ASAConvenient! You are correct though; no scale on I-10 in 'Bama.....

    You're good to go. Run it and don't look back. Just know that you're gonna be weighed in Louisiana, more likely than not, so make sure you adjust your tandems to get the weight legal before you get there.

    Just wanted to update this and say I made it with no issues. No weigh stations were open the whole trip well out of Florida anyways. Thx for the advice and opinions.
