I have this old book from the 70's. Every chapter was dedicated to a different builder of eco friendly self sufficient home designs in different areas of the country, so all from different environments. Interesting stuff.

If water was that scarce one would think they would already build a pipeline from the Midwest where it’s in oversupply.

If there’s no money in it, means it’s not scarce.

Now days, you would be burying 40' TEU's instead of school buses. And they would be cheaper and more water tight.

Of course I'll be real with myself. I'm more of a tiny house guy and would love to get a hold of a disused caboose. Addition? Get an old passenger car. Train nerd going to train nerd!!

Yes, according to my uneducated research, the more pumping, the more "climate change" becomes dry. So, with the population growth and the consumption we will see even bigger spread in a "driest in at least ##,### years" soon.. I guess)

The Colorado River flows naturally through Nevada; it wasn't diverted. The river is made of snow melt from the Rocky Mountains in Colorado.

    not sure.

we are being told that US population is on a decline. So why isn’t more water being saved?

The amount of water on the earth never increases or decreases.
