I feel like from what I’m hearing and through my own research, making a move would be sacrificing some income for some increased freedom but more responsibility. I have a pretty good relationship with my dispatcher despite only being at the company a little over a year. They’re pretty flexible with my scheduling needs, every now and then I have to do some crap loads but also every now and then I get loads paying $10/mile to run 80-100 miles. I’m old enough to know the grass is hardly ever greener on the other side. I think the only thing I could do to drastically improve income is a more fuel efficient truck, but I’m happy driving a hood and still making out better than a company driver in the end.

So to the truck, which is good.

    Stay there.

They don't take 14%, it is costs to you.

    Yes LS shows the gross.

That's mine in Casper. Don't have a years worth on the other trucks. I'd also have to go back and total the fuel cards up, and miles. All I see is trip advance, how they spend it is another story, and doesn't concern me.

    Agree,

They do things a little funny with the paying you 85% but then turning around and taking insurance and trailer off that.. guess it looks better when they are soliciting using the 85% vs the 71% they actually pay.. if the rates there keep up then just stay there.. 71% of a steady good rate is better than 90% of junk spot market rate

I did a quick google, but only came up with ‘Pedigree Truck Sales’ for used Prime trucks, and they didn’t have much. I’m sure it’s easier than I’m making it out to be, but where does one find the best selection of used Prime trucks?

Dave_In_AZ you have had luck with used Prime Trucks? I dunno man, kinda rolling the dice with those things IMO. But, if your using them then you would know better then me. You seem confident in them, here in this region of the country they are the trucks you stay away from.
