Yes I think the definition of stupidity should be when after making a mistake a person continues to do the same thing over and over again, think with most drivers and I mean all drivers, be it 4 wheels, or 18 wheels is they don't think it will happen to them. Driving to the conditions makes perfect sense but unfortunately we live in an imperfect world, it does keep the attorneys in business I guess and the medical industry won't be going out of business anytime soon.
This. I was going down the west side of Cabbage. The road was a bit glazed and it got foggy real fast with little visibility. Wipers icing fog. I was going fairly slow with my 4 ways on and guys were flying past me. I had 44k of beer in the back and wanted to go slower but feared I’d get hit from behind. It was a balancing act of choosing a speed that I wouldn’t get killed by something in front or by what was racing down behind me. Some people are too afraid of everything, and others are too stupid to be afraid of anything.
[QUOTE="Concorde, post: 12237715, member: And of course split speed limits probably didn’t help the situation either.[/QUOTE] Split speed limit is probably irrelevant in this case.... anyone doing the speed limit in these conditions is just a crash looking for a place to happen.
