What about Gliders? DIY or purchase a kit?

    Looks like all she needs is a 5th wheel and driver!
    The old Hendrickson would be a little tough on my back,though. Had that in my cabover.
    Is it a 903 or 8V71?

    Sounds like the glider deal is pretty difficult.

    You probably do better to just find an older truck and refurbish it to whatever degree that you would like.

    I just revisited this thread and re read your post.

    Heck, some parts guys I have a hard enough time with getting parts from a truck that's exactly how it left the factory in Renton!

    I think if I was ever to build a glider I would have my own parts book just as complete or moreso than what the parts guys can pull up with the VIN.

    Shogun,Old Skooler, Here's another old pic you might like. Large framed pic that has hung on the wall above my shop desk forever,bought it at an auction,a long time ago. New set of binders decked up,getting ready to leave the Ft. Wayne yard. I think this was around 79,80? Still had round headlites,square bezels.
