Next week i'm supposed to start running from the Bangor Me, into somewhere in Nova Scotia. The plan is for me to cross back in to Maine, switch trailers and head back into Nova Scotia. My question is where is there a good place to eat, shower, and sleep in that part of Canada? The plan is for me to catch the ferry over, but if i miss the ferry i'll have to drive around to Nova Scotia. I've heard that Dysart's is near Bangor, But what are my choices north of the border?

There are Irving Truckstops up there. One big one in Fredrickton for instance.
Not sure what is available from the Ferry side though.
There are some truckstops outside of Halifax, but I cannot say much since I went to the receiver and back out of the country the next day.freebirdrfd Thanks this. -
Dangerous, maybe the T/A in Ontario, Ca? Maybe some in the Atlanta area? Wait, the Washington DC T/A is pretty creepy though. And Jubitz in Portland, ewww. lol Theres a lot of dumps around.
And Id say Grand Island Bosselmans in Nebraska seems really safe. Not a bad place to hang out and do a 34 or just stop for the night. -
I like to stay away from big name truck stops. I find the little hole-in-the-wall places. They tend to have more experienced drivers who know how to back, and the transients tend to go to the larger truck stops for customers. I like Sapp Bros in Cheyenne, WY. Watch that turn onto the frontage road, it can be a little slick.
