What are the safest and most dangerous truckstops??

stopped at the mass pilot x1 many times over the past 3 years... no restaurant. closed, boarded up.

Must not have been to otay mesa when the loads are crossing the border... it is a cluster, the bathrooms were full of used toilet paper on the floor.... and bobtails parked 4 deep per spot.

 

When I used to stop at the Pilot in Mass back when it was Sturbridge Isle it was a nice place. They had a gourmet restaurant and a nightclub that used to get some pretty decent acts. Then Pilot took over. First thing they did was close the restaurant. It was still a nice place to stop (relative to other Pilots, I mean) but in my opinion a truck stop without a restaurant is just a gas station with a really big parking lot. The place kinda lost its soul...or maybe I'm just crying in my beer.

 

I haven't been to that Pilot in a while, I live in the Northeast so of course I don't get sent there,lol. Wow. Can't believe the restaurant was closed. That sucks.

 

Pilot on 285 south in atlanta. Dopers, ho's and criminals everywhere.
think someone was killed there not long ago. Pilot 285 north atlanta just as bad.

 

Right beside the Sapp Bro's is a little bar/steakhouse called TeeJo's, great food with the best prime rib and Steaks!

 

I just read about the TA in Jessup, Md. A couple years ago they fenced in the whole parking lot, Put in security, and i have had no problems. No lizzards, no drug dealers. It is pay lot now unless you buy 50 gals. of fuel or spend $25.00 or more in the store or resturant(and have the reciepts) I'm there quite often because i del to Giant (across the street) and i have'nt had any problems. At first i was pissed about the pay-for parking but now that it's cleaned up i feel safe, with no lizzards beating on my door all night.

 

The Ontario TA (at least the East side) has improved as well. Aside from one guy hawking watches and another movies, nobody bothered me. They had security cruising the lot all day and night.

 

The 5th wheel truck stop in Fresno California is a rat hole. Lot lizards everywhere, people trying to sell things all day and night long. When you walk in the door and look in the back, it looks like a porn shop. I had to take a 34 there once, before I knew what would go on there, I got no sleep the entire time. You have to watch when you start to pull out of the lot there too, because bums will get under your trailer and sleep.

 

Wouldnt be caught dead in that Pilot in Mass. Good luck even getting in there to fuel. Its always backed up into the fuel island. WHY? Cus some dumb idiot in the state only let you fuel one side at a time.

 

The place is old and out dated on the inside. Crusty showers and laundry in the basement. $3.50 for a loaf of dollar store brand bread. Unfriendly and indiffent staff I pass!!!!

The embroydery place is cool!!! Selling hats and other stuff. They will embroyder any thing!
