When I was with CFI, all the trailers had tarp straps mounted to the inside of the doors, we'd use those instead of the latches that came on the trailers, held the doors nice and tight to the trailer. I don't know why more companies don't do that.:biggrin_25525:

I don't get it,when you're a trainee you get terminated for hitting a building. After you've been driving for a few years you can hit a building and nobody cares; or are these not company drivers? It doesn't make any sense to me but what do I know. Happy fathers Day to you Dads! Now get back to that Honey do, job jar list for today.

Makes no sense to me. Being complacent about hitting something just isn't right.

My guess is the first guy will say he was hit at a truck stop. I couldn't see but there has to be visible scrapes on the side of that trailer.

The only time you're allowed to hit something and not even bother to check for damage is if it's a car with an Obama sticker on it.

i do not want to get political, (and your comment IS FUNNY by the way), but why do many of us hate him so much..? did many of us hate George Jr (or even George Sr.) as much as Obama..??

how about Clinton, how about Cater, Nixon, Kennedy..?? ( i pretty much go as far back as Kennedy as the first president i ever knew)

was there ever a president in these here United states that was well liked..??

again, not to get TOO political to have this thread moved....but..???

It takes an effort not to hit something along with a little brains. After all it's standing still and you are moving. I can guarantee you if them drivers hit you in a truck stop, they would run. They probably think they are experienced drivers because they kept damage to a minimum. Eh, what's a scrape down the side of a trailer? It's not mine.

I don't think there ever will be a president that will be liked by everyone. Thomas Jefferson himself once said "No man will ever carry out of the presidency the same reputation which carried him into it".

Oh, and as a legal disclaimer, if there are any ####ing ###-hole government ####bags reading this, my previous post in this thread was intended as a JOKE. Here is a link to help explain to any government agents the meaning of the capitalized 4 letter word I just used: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joke

yes they WILL run..all "little scrapes" add up over time... brand new equipment ages quicker....other safety items may NOT get repaired....which can lead to getting a nice ticket and CSA points...

in the end, it's the same ole, same ole...NO ONE accepts responsibility for thier actions..

and many of us wonder why we have so many rules, regulations, tickets, suspensions, firings, and DEMANDS for people to have gone through training, otherwise, NO JOB FOR YOU..
