what do you do when truck stops are full

    When im otr I always make sure not to stay at some jammed pack truckstops,you know the ones that are hard to get into and out because whoever designed it was for cars.Anyway youre always going to get some moran that has (its all about me attitude)then you wanna leave and cant because youre pounding on the idiots door to move.

    I manage my hours so that a reset is done where I choose
    apparently I have not chosen anywhere

    Pull into the TS. Get on the CB. Exclaim "The TA down the street has the best and cheapest lot lizards I have ever seen!" Enjoy all the parking.

    I wonder what would happen if every truck driver that ran out of hours parked @ the near by DOT parking lot every night with a sign on the window stating I am out hours at this time please come back 10 hours later

    Yep! thats what I do. Ok not really, But wish I could. Seems some do.

    I park anywhere, they just let you because they know (or most do) you have too.

    I've never had that problem
    I plan my trip and know where i'm going and when I'll get there
    If i'm in an area I'm not familiar with...I make sure I'm parked somewhere decent by 5-6 pm.
    I start looking with 2-3 hrs left on my clock so I have time to find a good place to spend the night.
    It's all about thinking it through....I start thinking about where I'm going to spend the night as soon as I start my day.

    Out of parking at the TS? No rest areas to crash at? Walmart says NO OVERNIGHT parking?

    Well then you gotta do what you gotta do.

    Them ADULT SUPERSTORE lots are always empty! 34 hours there? Better be serving up some food with all that pron.

    Adult bookstores are a great suggestion. Those usually have truck parking.

    When I see billboards for those places...I have my wife call them & ask if they have private rooms or glory holes. Their always shocked to hear a woman looking for one.
