What do you do with your home time?

I would caution against Sweden. Theyre under a great deal of conflict with no go zones and so forth with refugee pressures. Norway is not half bad, but its a legacy of wars that gave them a really hard time. They are currently busy trying to evolve with their old Cold War bases and issues associated with defense going into winter.

Denmark would be good maybe consider a bit of Amsterdam and Holland to go with it. The Dutch and Danes are fun loving people even if the North Sea is a bit raw in winter.

Finland is not too familiar to me outside of history. I would imagine they have done well since the wars.

Good luck to you. I like to travel, but am very unsure if I wanted to go to Europe to travel. Nuremburg, Hesse-Kassel would be one spot, Israel another, and Scotland rounds out the thoughts I have in addition to certain WW1 battlefields in France among other things.

I have been in the UK before however again the society there has changed too much for us to be welcome in say London. Maybe visit ancestral grounds in Wales dating to the days of Edward 1 as well as Ely on the North Sea Coast. (Suffolk)

Who knows? We may build that Bering Strait Bridge connection and have 7000 mile hauls to London by big truck with a month to be there. By way of Alaska and Siberia.

 

Bought this a few months ago. Wanted to get back into riding and couldn't pass up the deal. One owner, older guy who maybe put 20 hours on the bike if that. 2006 suzuki LT450R. DOHC 4v fuel injected. Titanium valvetrain from the factory. 47hp and only 368 LBS......scary fast

 

Tops out around 74mph with stock gearing. I dropped down from a 14 tooth front sprocket to a 13. 1st is too high for my liking with stock gearing. On pavement it breaks loose in 3rd gear. Pure arm ripping fun

 

Birthday gift from myself

 

I just finished cutting the grass, trimming two hedges, and hanging an antique sign up high on a wall that my wife has been asking me to do for over a year. Today is our 30th anniversary, and we're going out for dinner and a movie.

 

For you single guys, there are plenty of women to meet on the road besides lot lizards. And I'm not talking about hook-ups from Tinder or women divers. I'm from the time before cell phones and the internet, and we met women the old fashioned way, face to face. Seems like anybody under 30 today has no idea how to talk to the opposite sex.

Keep yourself clean and well kept with the clothes and the hair, and be friendly and talk about them. Some guy walked into a driver's lounge the other day and chased everybody out he stank so bad. Don't be that guy. Forget the cheesy come-on lines, they don't work. I'm almost 60 but I dress professionally, clean shaven and keep my rig clean. I don't wear my wedding ring because my knuckles got too big, but I get hit on at least once a month while on the road. Just a couple days ago at a Walmart DC, a mid 30's blonde guard gate employee that was just cute as hell let me stay in the guard shack with her because I was about 15 minutes too early to enter the DC and the only truck in line. We were chatting it up and she asked if I was staying in the area tonight, and if she could make me dinner. I said thanks, but my wife will have dinner waiting for me when I get home tonight. She turned red and was embarrassed and I said don't be. You don't know unless you ask.

 

I spend about 6 hours shredding my mail that built up over the past month. Then I sleep for about 20-23 hours.

RDR2 is being released on PC November 5th. Once that comes out, next few hometimes after that Ill be off the grid.

 

Off the grid as in people wont be able to get a hold of me because Ill be too immersed in a great western themed game.

I couldnt get into Apex. More of a Rainbow Six guy.
