No I understand and the paralyzed person has a reason to sue. IMO you don't. Insurance, your's and the electric company, will get your car and towing taken care of. If you had major life altering injuries. I could see the lawyer. But as you've said. You don't.

It may not be your intention. But image you are portraying. Is someone looking to get a big payout from the accident. Personally I feel this is what's wrong with society today. Again, I don't know if that is your goal. But that's what I see.

If all you're worried about is replacing your car and towing costs. Then you don't need a lawyer. Your insurance will handle all of that.

I disagree, insurance will do everything they can to pay the absolute minimum. A fender bender is 1 thing, a major accident caused by an employee of a company needs a lawyer for representation. This isn't just for immediate damages and injuries, but to make sure future medical care is paid for as musculoskeletal injuries have a way of being worse with time.

OP as others have said notify Schneider immediately and send anything you can via email. This way if they are crass enough to try to ding you later you have proof that you were in direct contact.

Don't tell them it's because of an accident, just tell them it's a family emergency and you will call back in a few weeks.
Please call a lawyer and ask them to recommend a doctor. You may be OK now but these things can show up later.

Yeah get a lawyer doctor. So they can "find" an expensive life altering injury.

Sometimes the injury may not be noticeable until a few days after the wreck. The body will go into some type of shock mode trying to protect itself, but eventually it gives up and that's when the pain and soreness show up.

I trained at Schneider, if you can’t make it, call the recruiter you’ve been talking to and they will reschedule you. They won’t be mad, there’s a 100 people coming.

I agree. Not saying that. But use a regular doctor. Lawyer doctors will always "find" something. That's how they make their money.

You have 14 days in most states to report your injuries to your insurance. Plenty of time to go to a regular physician.

Respectfullly sir, what you feel is wrong with society is irrelevant and does not pay the bills. Seems you have the crab in the bucket mentality. You want me to recover as minimal as possible without knowing what can come up in future inconvenience from this situation. Thanks for your input through.

No. Looking for "what I can get" vs "making myself whole." Is what is wrong today. As I've said. I'm not trying to say that your intention is to profit from the accident. But you'll see news articles on here everyday. Where some 4wheeler gets a huge windfall of money from suing a trucker.

Insurance is meant to make you whole. Not to make a profit. There should be no need to get a lawyer involved. Unless the insurance company starts trying to low ball you. Then by all means. Plus I do agree with seeing another doctor before the time limit is up. To verify no lasting injuries. But those lawyer "doctors" have only one job. To "find" those injuries. Even when they don't really exist.

I'm sure you're a good person and just trying to protect yourself. I'm just encouraging you to do it the right way.

    Best of luck. :)

Go for blood. Sue for as much as you can.
Why? Because the game is rigged. If you sue like crazy you just might, if you're lucky be made whole and nothing more. If you sue for what is fair and honest you'll get maybe half of what you should.

The insurance company has lawyers and lobbyists on their side to minimize the payout they owe you. Get a lawyer, get paid fairly.

The kind of accident you described usually results in a lifetime of aches and pains. So you can still work with a sore back or neck. But how much will it affect the rest of your life?

How much is your car selling for with the crazy market right now? Well they only pay bluebook. How do you keep from being ripped off without a lawyer?

Don't get a lawyer to screw them over get one to keep from being screwed over.
