Some truth in that. I backed into the potato house in Hillsboro, ND. The Bobcat started digging, the washing machine washed, sack sewer was whipping them closed, and someone hollered pull up some. I mean we had progression, from dirt bank to nose of trailer. Kept me focused on the pull up instructor. Hold it there. Ah ha. loaded.... And got out to 3 inches of snow on formerly dry apron. Ran out of it just below Moorhead.
Old 10 and 75 junction that had the scale house offset 100 yards down 10. Stop sign turn right, go down and cross empty. Do a U and back to 75 and head north to Halsted. Cross over the low wgt old steel bridge to ND, and up to Hillsboro. Load and return s l o w l y back down 75 letting 2 or 3 pass. At junction, they were jogging over to the scales and blocking his view. Do a full legal stop then cruise out straight on. Next scale to consider, Wentzville, MO.

A nice C70 with a new or recently rebuilt vacuum booster. Says V8. Delta Material Handling had two with Jerr Dan rollbacks. C50's, 454 engines, air bag tag axle, 5 speed with a 4 way, Memphis dealer supposedly stocked for use as mixer trucks. Delta bought them to haul forklifts around on. Straight air brakes.

Well, some wanker from my terminal picked up a load in Ham Mound, and didn't want to finish the job, so I'm at the Cinci terminal, hooked to a load for Atlanta.

I'm leaving about 5 hours later than I wanted to. Only gonna be a couple hours "late".

Quotation marks because Sunday deliveries are problematic for this customer. Biggest challenge on this load will be tracking down the receiver, who won't know what to do, and will disappear for a half hour to find the process manual, and then finally listen to me as I tell him for the tenth time, "I just need you to unlock the offload pipe, sign my paperwork, and get outta my way. I've been here a gazillion times!"

    And it's starting to s**w.
