My perception is the media has been demonizing the fossil fuel companies without choosing a solid quiver of complaints.

My latest complaint with the industry is that they have chosen not to respond to the ramp up of consumer demand since they chose to drastically gut domestic production during the Covid crisis. They took and maintain a short term view. They made no plans for coming out the other side of that dip with domestic production. They did not bring up production in advance of seasonal patterns for home heating oil. They did not bring up production based on increase consumer fuel demand at the pump. They chose instead to play at raising profit by keeping supply low. The domestic production was kept low to drive profits

Those were all corporate decisions. Neither of the presidents during Covid has had any control of those corporate decisions made during either of their administrations.

 

The court is made up of congressionally reviewed political appointees, therefor very rooted in politics.

Let's be honest would we see anywhere near the media coverage if it was not political?

I find it ironic. The argument is about clean energy. So their answer is ask countries with lower quality production (dirty). To increase output. While having our cleaner production shut down.

It proves hypocrisy. NIMBY

 

Please define the theirs? Are we talking about the oil companies or government?

 

The media to their audience. Like how the CEO at CNN focused on Trump. It increased the ratings.
