Sounds like you need the OM to be your caddy

I just played with a 3 wood. Didn't go real far, but at least landed on the same golf course.

When we lived in Florida, there were MULTIPLE courses within 15 miles of the house. My brothers and I would try to play at least twice a month. When we started moving as often as I did for work, golf became more seasonal in Minnesota and Ohio. Now in Memphis, I try to play more often when work and honey do’s don’t conflict.
I bought new clubs in Dec and have used them 5 times.
I used to take our son out with me when he was younger; however, he never caught the bug. He graduates from high school in 5 weeks. His school is having a golf benefit on May 2. I asked him if he wanted to play with me. He said he could not miss school.

I was going to retire when he graduated and return to driving part time then life happened. I was offered a great job at a very good mid-100’s salary. Great company, good benefits, easy work. My wife and I decided (at least for now) that I would work 4 more years until son’s college is completed. I will be 70 then, so I guess we will be in Memphis (ugh) for a few more years.

I too have learned to leave the driver in the bag(most of the time). I have even played irons only a couple of times.

I used to be able to spank my 3 wood— longer than the driver — couldn’t tell what happened, but I can’t get it past the ladies tee now— got tired of the dick out rule being harshly enforced so it is in permanent time out

I no the no money issue. Moved to Memphis for a good job, small company. They went under in two years. I do not have a degree and many companies would not even let me interview. Finally accepted a job at about 60% of prior salary. 5+ years of pinching pennies extremely hard. Built up a lot of debt that we just paid off last year. Thank God my wife’s business picked up and we survived. In those 5+ years my clubs only came out twice.

Well need grab some motivation. Got a bunch of shirts to pick up at the cleaners, and need to get laundry done.

Of course TK is closed, even for parts, on weekends, so have to PM the tripak tomorrow.
Which means have to go all the way gown there just for the kit and a belt.

    Got the oil at Freightliner.

Got to get git-r-done since The OM has us picking up Tuesday.
