Yeah... South is uphill to some rocky knobs. This was all a lava flow eons ago... Bout the only places you can tell anymore though are the high spots. Farther south (80 miles) is Hells Half Acre... It's more commonly known as the Lava Beds, cause its all exposed volcanic rock as far as the eye can see. Good Rock Chuck hunting out there though.

Is that what that one tourist trap place is out there on I forget which highway. Maybe 26 or 20 out by Arco, middle of nowhere looks like volcanic rock. Called crater moon or something like that.

Running up around the “Craters of the moon” park is kind of cool. You can see lots of caldera and other volcanic formations.

That's part of the same Lava flow... That area is called Craters of the Moon and is a State park... Hells half acre is the patch of lava rock that I-15 passes through between Idahofalls and Blackfoot. There are a few fields out in the middle of it, in large collapsed lava bubbles. They are pretty cool... almost perfectly round, so an irrigation pivot can be set up in them very nicely.

Yes that's it. The amount of times I've got brake checked by people who see those rocks and then decide to go full tard is amazing.

Very cool man. Being from Arizona I always thought Idaho was a boring and flat state. It's turn into one of my favorite states in America. So much to see. You got your farmland, your big city, wide open country, forests and lakes and wildlife, cool stuff like volcanic formations and lava flows. Probably the biggest frickin mountains in the entire country as well. Just a cool place all around. Except that dang Idaho wind in the winter .

Yeah that place is getting so crazy. Or I would say even couer d alene and post falls but I guess not "technically" because most of that traffic is Spokane traffic
