I was not born with a silver spoon jammed in my mouth. My parents worked hard all their lives for what they had. My parents also taught me to respect money. Then one of the NCOs in my Air Force chain of command over time taught me good investment strategies. From 1980 going forward I saved my money! I would wear shoes sometimes that had small holes in them. I rarely ate 3 meals a day throughout the week. I also always drove a vehicle that was a bit older. Today at 64 I am fully retired. To this day since retirement almost 10 years ago I have not taken a dime of social security. I have a co-pay with my VA medical and I do not use any form of things like SNAP etc.

While I try to not judge, I wonder sometimes if the average American knows they may be just several missed paydays from being homeless. Keri and I have talked about this many times. If I had not been careful to build my investments, with my forced early retirement I have NO idea what I would have done. It is scary. I am not trying to start a political argument because to be 100% honest in most cases BOTH sides bore the hell out of me!

 

68 degrees this morning we had some tain I took pics of the car resting in the garage. it’s not exactly stock under the hood.

 

Thanks for the explanation. It's always interesting to see how people view things (as being FREE) when they're on the other side of the fence. It is easy to see a man's character when they have no content; in that they will point out a man's suffering with cancer treatments to prove their point.

 

There is no such thing as free. At some point, somebody or a group is paying the freight. Regardless of your political opinions. When there are too many riding inside the cart then pushing it, the system WILL buckle and break down at some point!

 

Keri seems to be headed to London this morning. She told me that there is a rumor the flight may be canceled. She is not the lead today but said the lead told her the flight so far has no first officer. I'm glad I don't work in that Airline's crew scheduling dept!

 

We are woke.

I shall deliver the load using speed and stealth under the cover of darkness into the mega indigenous population center.

The OM is going to stay here and continue on with her hometime, and maybe do some OM stuff.

Going to get a few miles in before I go.
