Judge, She is running free somewhere today. Just remember the good times with her, how you cared for her and how she responded...

Trivia...My younger brother once ran a super market for Herman Page in Meridian, MS..
Was asked occasionally about age of the eggs, so he stuck up a manila folder in the case.It said:
"If you want day old eggs, buy these tomorrow..."Kid was 20; just married, and had 4 years of
supermarket experience when Herman sent him from West Point to manage the new store in Meridian
    Edit...
Finally remembered, for the AR contingent on here. Herman sold his stores to Gene Stimson of Arkansas grocery fame while bro was there.

You know why the they wanted older eggs? It was for making meringue for pies. When my mom and grandma went to the chicken coop to get eggs the ones on top were usually the oldest ones. The older eggs make a tall and fluffy meringue pie topping.

We had about 5 to 6 inches this morning. Then it slowed and stopped. Has to shovel the trailer.

Big Bob Gibson's Bar-B-Que in Decatur, AL must run by the clock then, as his pies won't let the top close on a cooler. Rich, thick, knee high meringue. Good to know...
