    Haha. That’s possible.

    A LOT of amps traveling through there. One would think the buzz of the flowing energy would be enough of a deterrent. Big balls or big ignorance. Whew!

    Probably caused by a "short". "Between the ears" of the perp.
    Lots of electrical problems are caused by this, fairly common.

    Probably the tools and whatever he was going to use to haul out the ill gotten recyclable materials.

    From the Power Utility guys stories about birds that were quick fried when wings touched both conductors, may be a while for the forensics to come back for court admissible I.D.
