If that's a Peking duck I learned to watch my ankles, out of our group that was the biggest pain in the butt, we lost it to a bobcat and no one cried.

    Ummh...
"although this company lied to me just LIKE a trucking company"
Slipped it to you gently; did they...? Trucking companies are pikers by comparison...
And them lift truck people have developed deception to a fine art.
Took me several years to gather up the needed experience and start my own.
Years ago; Clark suggested dealer mark parts up 1.55.. Ah, well most used 1.85.
Real good customers (tire plant-30 trucks/wholesale grocer-18) got the prime,1A customer price of the 1.55.
Good gravy takes a lot of mixing...

Just so I got my figgers right about the Mark Up - so they bought for a $1.00 and had a Mark Up of 1.85 that means they would price it at $2.85. Or if it cost them $50.00 for the part, they would sell it for $142.50.

Yes, when the idler gear tween crankshaft and cam stud works loose, backs out to where the gear contacts the inside of the cover. Becomes a very nice, quiet, well lubricated milling machine. First indications are timing get erratic. Timing gets changed each tine recranked and idler gear climbs outward. I have actually walked along a lift being towed, twisting the distributor to find time. It runs and pulls. Kill.. Start over. (Best twist covering distributor with a cut from an inner tube as insulation.. All four firing at rat a tat speed is shocking.)
You reset, cranks fine. Kill it, wont crank. reset and crank. Have seen it mill thru the cover (cast iron) on Cont F163's and Waukesha G155's

Most places as the price goes up the mark up goes down, in my line if you had a blown fuse it's going to cost you 200.00 by the time I drive there. If they lose a compressor your looking at close to 6 grand for something we paid 3 for.

I blew a water pump in N. Little Rock one time after midnight. The wrecker that showed up was very old as was the driver. Had I owned the truck being towed I may have declined and called someone else. I thought for sure climbing in that truck that someone was hiding in sleeper and I would never be seen again.
